A Unified Reference for University Contact Information and Organizational Structure
The University of Qom Organizational Phone Directory System was designed and developed to create a centralized, up-to-date, and reliable reference for managing and publishing organizational contact information. The system manages relationships between individuals, organizational positions, units, locations, and phone numbers in a structured way, making it easier for employees, students, and visitors to access the information they need.
In the public section, users can search for contact information by person name, position, organizational unit, extension number, or direct phone number. In the administrative section, organizational information is centrally managed and updated to reduce data fragmentation and prevent outdated or inconsistent information from being distributed across different sources.
Support for Persian, English, and Arabic, responsive design, and dedicated pages for individuals, positions, organizational units, and locations make the system a suitable platform for structured publication of the university’s contact information.
Fragmented and Inconsistent Organizational Contact Information
Contact information for employees, faculty members, officials, positions, and university units was scattered across different sources and was not updated through a unified process. In addition, visitors looking for phone numbers of individuals or departments did not have access to a modern, organized interface that reflected the university’s professional identity, making it harder to find the required information quickly and easily. This situation could lead to outdated or inconsistent information, inefficient searches, and continued reliance on manual directories or disconnected sources. The main objective of the project was to create a single, reliable reference with an appropriate user experience for managing and publishing university contact information.
Designing a Unified and User-Friendly University Contact Information System
To address this need, a multilingual web-based system with a modern and responsive user interface was designed and developed to centrally manage and publish information about employees, faculty members, officials, positions, organizational units, locations, and contact numbers. Users can search for the information they need by name, position, unit, or phone number through an organized and searchable interface, while administrators can update the data in a structured manner through the management panel. As a result, access to previously fragmented and difficult-to-find contact information has been transformed into a faster, more organized experience aligned with the professional identity of a university.
Faster Access and More Consistent Management of University Contact Information
With the implementation of the Organizational Phone Directory System, university contact information was consolidated from scattered sources into a centralized and manageable platform. Visitors, students, and employees can now search for and view information about officials, faculty members, staff, and university units through an organized, multilingual, and mobile-friendly interface. On the administrative side, information updates have become more structured, while reliance on manual directories and unsynchronized sources has been reduced. This change has improved both public access to university contact information and the efficiency and reliability of managing and maintaining that information.
